TIME-CALL SERVICE CDS will pick up your delivery at a pre-desginated time and deliver it immediately. An example of Time-Call Service is daily mail pick-up where a CDS courier picks up your mail from the post office in the morning and delivers it directly to your firm. SMALL PARCEL DISTRIBUTION When the post office and freight companies just aren’t fast enough, the CDS Small Parcel Distribution System rushes in to meet the need. Whether it is from your warehouse or ours, CDS distributes your small parcels throughout the Houston area on a twice-daily basis, at a surprisingly low cost. INSURANCE A released value of the greater of $50 or $.50 per pound of shipment is automatically applied without charge. A declared value of up to $25,000 per shipment may be purchased at a cost of $.50 per $100 of declared value or fraction thereof in excess of the Released Value by entering that declared value in the space provided on this manifest at the time of pickup. If no entry is made, the Released Value shall automatically apply. All claims regarding loss or damage of any kind must be submitted in writing within 5 days after delivery of shipment to Central Delivery Systems. Central Delivery Systems shall not be responsible for shipments improperly packed or labeled or for loss or damage caused by delay, or for consequential or special damage whether or not Central Delivery Systems had knowledge such damages might be incurred.
